Annie Jhon and I had the BEST time taking their engagement photos in Crystal Lake Illinois. Seriously, we couldn’t have asked for a better fall day. Annie and Jhon are some of the funniest people I’ve had the chance to work with. Their entire session was filled with smiles, laughs and was just such a good time. Fun fact this was actually my very first engagement session and I’m so happy to have been able to be a part of Annie and Jhon’s Engagement

The Session at Veteran Acres

For Annie and Jhon’s Engagement session we walked around Veteran Acres park in Crystal Lake having SO much fun. Annie and Jhon were friends in high school and actually lived in the same neighborhood for a stretch while growing up. These two are SO in love and have so much fun together, we were just giggling and having the best time together for their entire session.

These two just love spending time together so we found a location that we could just have a good time together at for their engagement session and soak in some of the gorgeous fall colors that Crystal Lake brings every year. Veteran Acres is full of beautiful features that made for some incredible backdrops for Annie and Jhon’s session. It’s wide open fields, beautiful lake and rows of these gorgeous tall trees were such a treat and really made for the perfect engagement session

Planning their Crystal Lake Engagement Photos

Prior to each session, I make sure to take some time to get to know each of my clients, what they like, what they dislike and what they love.  Your inquiry will be set up as a facetime call so we can get to know each other a bit from the get go.  I want more than anything for you to look at these photos and see aspects of your relationship that are true to you. 

Your engagement photos should be a reflection of what your love is actually like in real life, so I make sure to ask you questions about your relationship ahead of time as well as during your session.  Things as simple as how you sit if you were watching an episode of your favorite TV show, or what your favorite route to walk is when you take your dog out are all things I love to include in your session.

Annie and Jhon have a super light hearted relationship that is full of personality and fun. I made sure to give them prompts throughout their session that allowed them to play and have fun with one another so I can capture these aspects of their relationship.

I seriously had so much fun with Annie and Jhon’s engagement session in Crystal Lake. These two have such a fun and special love for one another and it was such a treat to be able to capture some of that emotion.
