Margaret and Ben’s engagement session has everything you could hope for from a fall session in Chicago. While their session actually took place in early December we had such a mild start to the winter in Chicago this year that it looked like peak fall with all the beautiful colors. Between the fall vibes in the park and gorgeous city views from North Avenue Beach there’s just so much I adore from this session.
We started our session off at a park near North Avenue Beach where the fall leaves were still their beautiful yellow and covering the entire park. Having your session in December in Chicago, and the Midwest in general always comes with its risks in terms of weather. It could be 10 degrees and snowing, or reasonably warm and feeling like fall. Luckily for Margaret, Ben, and I we got the latter and had SO much fun with their session. Margaret and Ben were up for anything for their session so I had them frolic and lay in the leaves while I threw some in the air making for some really magical moments for their session. The fall vibes were off the charts but before long it was time to head to North Avenue Beach for the next leg of their section.
For the 2nd leg of their engagement session Margaret, Ben, and I made our way to North Avenue Beach for some photos along the lakefront with the Chicago skyline in the background. Both Margaret and Ben had great outfits for the first leg of their session, but their second outfits at North Avenue Beach just screamed Fall and I cannot get over them! One of my favorite things about a session in the fall is the fun and creative attire people wear and theirs is no exception. We spent the rest of their session running along the lakefront and getting portrait photos before Margaret and Ben snuggled up next to each other to watch the moon rise over Lake Michigan.
I seriously cannot get over Margaret and Ben’s fall-themed engagement session at North Avenue Beach. We lucked out with the perfect weather and fall leaves for their session and I could not be happier with how the photos turned out! If you’re looking to book an engagement session of your own head to my contact page and we can start the planning process together.
