Paula and Elsy’s double surprise proposal outside the Chicago Planetarium was so sweet and fun. I loved being a part of it. These two actually surprised each other by proposing on the same day which was SO much fun to be a part of! We planned their sunrise session and proposal over at the Museum Campus in Chicago. Paula is from Florida and Elsy is from Mexico City but they recently bought a house together and wanted some fresh photos of them to hang up throughout their home!
They reached out to me to schedule a session and after signing their contract we began planning. Paula reached out to me discreetly and told me she wanted to propose to Elsy during the session! So the three of us worked together to plan their perfect session.
We met at the Planetarium around sunrise and walked around campus. We put together a playlist prior to their session so that we could play it as we walked around museum campus for their photos and set the tone for Paula’s proposal! The three of us had SO much fun wandering around the Planetarium, soaking in the scenery and giving Elsy and Paula the opportunity to really be present with one another.
After Paula popped the question and Elsy said yes we celebrated on the lake front a touch longer before heading over to Wake ‘n Bacon to have some breakfast and continue celebrating their proposal.
Paula and Elsy are big on Legos so they actually brought two sets to do while we were at the restaurant all together! They brought a cute little love bird set as well as some roses to build throughout their breakfast together. Bringing something that speaks to your relationship is such a cool and intimate detail to include in an engagement session. I LOVE when my couples include smaller details of their relationship in their session!
