Katie and Chris had one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. These two had their engagement session at Open Books bookstore and Humboldt Park and I love how they incorporated the things they both love into their session. When couples make their sessions their own and add things that make their relationship special to their day their engagement session becomes such a unique experience and creates such cool images for their session.

Engagement Photos at Open Books

For the start of our session, Katie Chris and I went to Open Books as they both LOVE to read and spend time together looking for new books at the bookstore. The two had so much fun exploring the bookstore together, searching for and sharing their finds with one another. Chicago has so many unique shops, restaurants, and experiences, I love incorporating places like Open Books in Chicago engagment sessions. Between the connection these two share and the excitement and fun they were having while searching for new books there was just so much to love about the start of our session! Once we were finished at Open Books it was time to head over to Humboldt Park for the rest of their engagement session.

After a quick wardrobe change, we made our way over to Humboldt Park for the rest of their engagement session. Katie and Chris also were able to bring their dog Stella along to this part of their session which was such a treat! Katie and Chris really wanted their photos to feel like them and capture exactly who they are and what they love at this point in their lives which I love. We took our time exploring Humboldt Park and taking in all the scenery while Katie and Chris celebrated their engagement. We brought some champagne along to pop for the end of the session which was the perfect way to end their session.
